Katie Mantooth : Co-Founder + Director of Artistic Operations

MANTOOTH CREATIVE was founded by two sisters, Ashley and Katie Mantooth, in 2019. Together they share a passion for making ART + DESIGN accessible and affordable.

Ashley Mantooth has an Associate of Applied Science in Interior Design, and a Bachelor’s in Business Management and Marketing from Park University. After nearly a decade of working as an interior designer, store manager, and area manager for an upscale retailer in Kansas City, Ashley chose to invest her talents in an innovative adventure. Ashley is also a published author of the new book, Steam Railroads of Northern Iowa and Southern Minnesota. Her design style embraces classic elements while keeping a fresh, energetic feel that will stand the test of time. Ashley has unconditional dedication to her family + friends + clients and strives to produce positive interactions. She believes whole-heartedly that you should surround yourself with people + things in life that are both beautiful + useful.

Katie Mantooth graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Washburn University, with a special interest in fibers. Her goal is to use art as a way to understand perception, reality, and emotion. As an avid traveler, Katie’s enthusiasm to see the world + meet new people inspires her method. Compassion + empathy are deep seeded in her core, and she finds it to be a civic duty to make art accessible to the community. She is a mom, dog mom, and foster dog mom. Katie appreciates the affordable + beautiful goods in everyday life, and wishes to contribute to the beauty in other’s lives. Her hope is that her work can bring people together, even though we all come from different backgrounds + understandings.

These two sisters believe in hard work, value being kind, and don’t take anything for granted.
